Most bull markets last less than half as long. The market's worst correction since 2003 was a 19% drop in the Nasdaq in 2004. That was the closest to the typical definition of a bear market, which is a decline of 20% or more. But while Wall Street has avoided a big jolt, its recent rallies haven't been explosive, either.
